Breakfast Quinoa w/ Chai-Spiced Almond Milk + Cinnamon Well and Full
Breakfast quinoa that is warm and comforting, made with chai-spiced almond milk and maple syrup for sweetness. Topped with a mix of sliced almonds, raisins, and fresh fruit. This healthy dish is the perfect mix of sweet, savory, and nutty. It's a great way to start the day.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup quinoa
- 2 cups almond milk
- 2 chai tea bags
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- 1/4 cup raisins

Instructions:
Use cold water to rinse the quinoa
Mix quinoa and almond milk together in a saucepan
Put chai tea bags into the mix
Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and let it simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the quinoa is done and the sauce gets thick
Take out the tea bags and add the ground cloves, ground cinnamon, ground cardamom, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, black pepper, sliced almonds, and raisins
Keep cooking for another 5 minutes, stirring every now and then
Taking it off the heat and letting it sit for a while will make it thicker
Put it in bowls and top with slices of fresh fruit
If you want to add more flavor, you can drizzle with extra almond milk and sprinkle with extra cinnamon
